Meeker Days Arts & Music Festival Returns This August

The festival had to be cancelled last year. It's coming back this summer, but will be held in August instead of Father's Day weekend.

PUYALLUP, WA — The Meeker Days Arts & Music Festival is back!

The festival had to be cancelled last year due to pandemic concerns, but organizers say they're ready to return even better with more art, more food, and more things to do.

The pandemic has forced a few changes, however. The biggest is that this year's festival will be held Aug. 13 - 15. Normally the festival is held over Father's Day weekend. Non-vaccinated visitors will also be asked to wear masks, as will all festival vendors. Organizers say they adopted the mask measures after seeing how successful they've been at the Puyallup Farmers Market this year.

The Meeker Days Arts & Music Festival is Pierce County's largest street festival, encompassing a 15 block radius in downtown Puyallup every year. On normal years, the event can draw upwards of 200 vendors. Most of the events and showcases at this year's festival have yet to be announced, but the Puyallup Main Street Association plans to launch an interactive map soon, which organizers say will help visitors navigate the huge list of things to do.
