Meet Your Local Editor, Lauren Padgett

Hi Puyallup Patch readers!

I'm Lauren, your local editor for Puyallup Patch. Some of you may already know me as the editor of Bonney Lake-Sumner Patch, our neighboring news site. I'm excited to kick off this news site and put the spotlight on news and information that matters most to you.

A bit about me: I grew up in Tacoma and have been to the Puyallup Fair almost every year of my life. I have a degree in journalism from Seattle University and have been working with Patch in Bonney Lake and Sumner for two years. I love to travel and backpack outdoors - last year, I climbed mountains to reach Macchu Picchu in Peru and am planning a trip to India and Nepal in 2013.

I rock a 2-5-3 heart sticker on my car and am proud to live in the South Sound. We've got a great thing going in Pierce County and it's important to me to respect our local heritage and analyze our future, plus spotlight local people doing cool stuff.
