Out & About, located 14214 Meridian Ave E in Puyallup, was one of the most popular comments in Patch's poll.
"Out and About is the best!" wrote reader Tammie Russell.
Out & About's menu is stripped-back to the essentials: just good old-fashioned cheeseburgers, fries, milkshakes and malts. According to the company, it's all about providing a great experience for their local community:
"At Out & About we are dedicated to quality and the experience you drive away with. Our ingredients are fresh. The patties are hand pressed. The buns are toasted right on the grill.
Frugals
Despite technically being located in Tacoma, Frugals, at 10727 Pacific Ave S, was another frequent favorite of Puyallup Patchers.
"Been to Frugals," wrote June Burton Wilson. "They are great."
"Frugal's is pretty darned good," said Karen Ann Holm Corrigan.
According to their website, Frugals is a local chain that started in Port Angeles back in 1988 but added their Tacoma location back in 1990. The company says their secret to success is a "dedication to simplicity, efficiency, quality, and service."
Red Wagon Burger
Back in Puyallup proper, another contender for best cheeseburger is Red Wagon Burtgers, found at 3850 S Meridian, Unit #4.
Red Wagon offers gourmet char-broil burgers, philly cheese steaks and even fish n' chips for seafood lovers. Like all classic burger joints, they also have a variety of milkshakes on tap. According to Red Wagon, the mission statement is simple:
""Our Mission Statement is
1. Using only quality Ingredients
2. Customers Satisfaction"
