Pedestrian Killed Standing On I-5 In Tacoma
One man has died after he was hit by several vehicles while standing in the middle of the interstate late Tuesday night.

TACOMA, WA — A pedestrian was struck and killed while standing on I-5 in Tacoma late Tuesday night.
According to Washington State Patrol's preliminary investigation, the victim had been standing on I-5 northbound just north of Portland Ave. Just before 10 p.m. he was hit by two cars heading north. One of the vehicles, a Chevy sedan, pulled to the side of the road. The other kept on driving.
By the time first responders arrived on scene, the victim, a 25-year-old Lakewood man, had died from his injuries. Several agencies, including WSP, Tacoma Fire and the Washington State Department of Transportation, were called to investigate the crash, partially blocking the interstate for about two and a half hours.

Investigators told The News Tribune they believed the man may have been trying to kill himself by walking into traffic. However, the cause of the crash officially remains under investigation.
No other injuries were reported. As for the second car, WSP told the Tribune it may not have even been aware of the crash, as most of the impact was taken by the sedan.
