Pierce County Mails Ballots For 2022 November General Election
An estimated 550,000 registered voters should have ballots in their mailboxes no later than Tuesday.
PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Pierce County Elections mailed ballots to voters across the region Friday as Washington's 18-day voting period gets underway for the Nov. 8 general election. Approximately 550,000 registered voters will begin to see their ballots in mailboxes over the weekend and Monday.
Elections officials project that 65 percent of Pierce County voters will participate in this year's midterms.

This year's races include U.S. Senate and House seats, state legislative offices and the contest for Secretary of State. The latter race sees outgoing Pierce County Auditor Julie Anderson running as a nonpartisan candidate against former Democratic state Sen. Steve Hobbs, who the governor appointed to replace Republican Kim Wyman.

Pierce County voters will also elect an auditor, prosecuting attorney, and three county council members.

The deadline to register or update registrations online arrives Oct. 31, but in-person registration is possible until polls close at 8 p.m. on Nov. 8.
Elections officials encourage residents to mail ballots back no later than the Friday before Election Day to ensure an on-time postmark. Voters can also visit one of the 50 drop boxes around Pierce County any time before polls close.
