Puyallup Couple Charged In Jan. 6 Investigation

PUYALLUP, WA — A Puyallup husband and wife are the latest to face federal charges stemming from the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

According to The Seattle Times, recently unsealed charges identify Scott and Holly Christensen and accuse the couple of entering the Capitol and remaining there for more than an hour after attending the "Stop the Steal" rally.

Probable cause documents include more than three dozen images of the Christensens, taken from surveillance video, news footage and social media.

According to the Times, the couple is scheduled to appear before a judge and enter pleas Thursday. The charges are for misdemeanor crimes and carry a maximum of one year and prison and fines of $100,000.

According to the Department of Justice, more than 960 people have been charged with crimes related to Jan. 6 in the last two years. In June, a Puyallup father and his two sons were charged with seven misdemeanors.
