Puyallup Father & 2 Sons Arrested, Charged For Jan. 6 Riot: Reports
All three men face multiple misdemeanor charges, including destruction of government property and disorderly and disruptive conduct.

PUYALLUP, WA — A Puyallup father and his two sons are among the latest suspects to be charged and accused of participating in the Jan. 6 riot and attempted insurrection in Washington, D.C.
In that incident, a mob of people stormed the nation's Capitol as Congress tried to formally certify Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 election, with the goal of overturning the election results and reinstating former president Donald Trump. At least nine people were killed during or shortly after the riot. Since then, hundreds of people across the nation have been charged for their participation in the insurrection, including several from Western Washington.
The most recent Washingtonians to face charges, Kevin Cronin Sr. and sons, Kevin Cronin II and Dylan Cronin, were all charged in the U.S. District Court in Tacoma Monday, KING 5 reported. Each is facing seven misdemeanor charges, including destruction of government property, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, and engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds. If convicted, the three could face several years in federal prison, KOMO reported.

According to charging documents obtained by The Seattle Times, the three were identified thanks to a combination of news footage, TikTok videos, images shared on the alt-right social media platform Parler, and cell phone data, placing them at the riot for several hours. In one incident, an open source video showed a man believed to be Dylan Cronin using a chunk of lumber to break a window leading to the Senate floor, before crawling through another windowpane to illegally enter the building. Documents say he caused about $774 worth of damage to the Capitol building, all told.
Following Dylan's alleged break-in, court documents say all three men met up just inside the Capitol, where the brothers lit up cigarettes. After the smoke break, they were then caught on camera several times in different parts of the Capitol building over the following two hours.

Kevin Cronin Sr. has been identified as an employee of the United States Postal Service. Kevin Cronin II was a member of the National Guard at the time of the riot, but was discharged in August 2021, KING reported.
Nine other Washingtonians have been charged in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, including Ethan Nordean, of Auburn, a high-ranking member of the white supremacist Proud Boy movement, who just last week was indicted for seditious conspiracy, accused of helping coordinate the Capitol breach.
