Support for Everyday Needs & Holiday Assistance

The Salvation Army Puyallup Valley provides a range of assistance year-round and during the holidays. This includes a Food Bank offering free food for those in need, a community center serving daily free lunch at noon, and a variety of other social services available to help meet the needs of the Eastern Pierce County Community.

Holiday Assistance Programs:

Thanksgiving Food Basket: Offered to registered families. These baskets contain all the essential food items needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

• Sign Up Date: Every Friday in October (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at The Salvation Army Puyallup Valley Food Bank.

Thanksgiving Community Dinner: Join us for a free Thanksgiving feast! Our community center is hosting our annual Thanksgiving lunch on Wednesday November 27th between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. All are welcome to come and enjoy the celebration!

Christmas Toys & Food Basket: Families can sign up for Christmas Toy & Food Baskets, where children and qualifying seniors can receive Christmas gifts this holiday season. Each registered family will also get a Christmas food basket containing items to prepare a meal for a holiday dinner. We are accepting the first 300 families.

• In Person Sign Up: Every Friday in October (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) 10am-1pm at The Salvation Army Puyallup Valley Food Bank. Limited to 150 families. Please call ahead to know which documents you will need to bring.
• Online Sign Up: To register for Christmas Assistance online, visit Saangeltree.org Online registration begins October 1st and will be open for the first 150 families.
