Suspect Arrested In Road Rage Shooting That Injured Young Boy
The man accused of shooting at a vehicle and hitting an 11-year-old boy near Tacoma Mall on Friday was in court Monday afternoon.

TACOMA, WA — The suspect in a Tacoma road rage shooting that left an 11-year-old boy hospitalized with serious injuries was in court Monday for a first appearance hearing.
According to Washington State Patrol, troopers arrested a 19-year-old Tacoma man over the weekend after the shooting on Interstate 5 near Tacoma Mall on Friday afternoon. WSP said witnesses saw the driver of a dark Chevy Cruze fire gunshots at a black Honda SUV shortly before 2:30 p.m.
One of the bullets hit an 11-year-old boy in the rear passenger seat. The boy was rushed to a nearby fire station and taken to a hospital with serious injuries but is expected to make a full recovery, officials said.

After detectives interviewed witnesses and obtained a search warrant, troopers worked with the Tacoma Police Department to track down the suspect vehicle to an address on South 78th Street in Tacoma. There, two SWAT teams took the man into custody and booked him into jail on suspicion of felony drive-by shooting and assault.
KIRO 7 named the suspect as Jaden Maurice Davis-Gunn and reported that a judge Monday set bail at $750,000.
