Ty Jenkins, 25, died in August 2020 after he was shot on the second floor of the parking garage at Emerald Queen Casino.
PUYALLUP, WA — Tacoma officers this week arrested a suspect wanted in the shooting death of a man in an Emerald Queen Casino parking garage more than two years ago. The police department announced the Tuesday arrest in a release Thursday, identifying the suspect in the case as a 29-year-old man.
The investigation began on Aug. 1, 2020, after the victim, Ty Jenkins, was found with gunshot wounds on the second floor of the parking garage shortly after midnight. Puyallup Tribal officers arrived within minutes and started life-saving efforts on the 25-year-old victim, but Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tacoma Police Department took over the case and booked the suspect into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder on Feb. 7. More information will be available in court filings after a first appearance, and police said the investigation is ongoing.
