Teens Arrested In Stolen Car After Police Chase: PCSD
Pierce County officials said a 15-year-old boy wearing a ski mask was under the influence when he fled from deputies in a stolen car.

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Pierce County deputies arrested a group of young teens Sunday, including a 15-year-old boy accused of driving under the influence and fleeing from the authorities in a stolen car.
In a blotter post Thursday, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department said two deputies noticed a car driving erratically along 22nd Avenue East in Parkland, shortly before midnight Sunday. Deputies reported the vehicle driving fast and followed the car. After witnessing the car move onto the wrong side of the road and other signs of potential DUI, deputies attempted a traffic stop.
Officials said the driver did not pull over and instead sped away.

Driving under the influence is classified as a pursuable offense, so the deputies chased the car and eventually deployed stop sticks, the sheriff's office said. After the car slowed, deputies performed a PIT maneuver, bringing the vehicle to a stop on Pacific Avenue.
As soon as the car stopped, deputies reported its three occupants ran away from the scene. Deputies and officers caught the trio and placed the teens under arrest.
