Train Hits Pedestrian In Puyallup
A portion of West Stewart Avenue was closed for several hours Monday after a train struck a pedestrian, according to police.
PUYALLUP, WA — A train struck a pedestrian Monday morning in Puyallup, prompting a lengthy road closure while an investigation was underway. The police department confirmed the incident shortly before 8:30 a.m. on the tracks near West Stewart Avenue and 15th Street Court Northwest. All lanes reopened shortly after 11 a.m.
According to The News Tribune, emergency crews arriving determined the victim died from their injuries at the scene. An investigation in the collision is ongoing.
