WSDOT Launches Tacoma To Puyallup Regional Trail Open House

The Tacoma to Puyallup Regional Trail will run along the SR-167 and connect the two cities. Here's a look at how it'll work.

PUYALLUP, WA — The Washington State Department of Transportation is inviting the public to learn more about the upcoming Tacoma to Puyallup (T2P) Regional Trail through a brand new virtual open house.

The open house, which launched Tuesday, is the first of two opportunities for community members to learn about the project and provide feedback on features like trail entrances, informational signage and viewpoints.

Once finished, the T2P trail will largely run alongside the future SR 167 corridor, WSDOT said.

Construction will proceed in two phases. The first, set to start later this year, will connect 70th Ave in Fife and SR 509 in Tacoma by 2026. The second stage will connect that to the Puyallup Recreation Center.
