Local leaders and residents helped create a bilingual community calendar, with more action teams forming around youth, recreation, and regional coordination. Quincy-area neighbors are invited to join, share ideas, and help shape the valley’s future.

• Quincy Police Department builds holiday cheer through annual Cops and Kids Christmas Raffle (qvpr.com) — Quincy Police officers are again running their Cops and Kids Christmas Raffle to fund Thanksgiving meals and holiday shopping trips for families living within Quincy city limits. Local businesses donate prizes, residents buy raffle tickets, and selected kids ride with officers to Target in Wenatchee for a rare, joy-filled shopping spree. The program aims to ease holiday stress while building long-term trust with Quincy youth.

• Jacks girls stay focused despite home loss (columbiabasinherald.com) — Quincy Jacks girls basketball fell 71-29 to Grandview at home but their coach praised the team’s fight against one of the league’s toughest opponents. With freshman guard Juniper Thorsen expected back from a concussion this week, the Jacks hope to reset quickly. They host Selah on Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m. in Quincy.
