Mustang Baseball's Conforto and Davis Finding Success at Oregon State

Two star alumni from Redmond High School are having an impressive first collegiate season, The Oregonian reports.

Two of the top players from last year's Mustang baseball team are having a dynamite first season at Oregon State University, according to a story in The Oregonian newspaper.

Michael Conforto and Dylan Davis, two 2011 graduates that helped lead  to the  for the first time since 1993, are batting .426 and .329, respectively, in their freshman season at Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore.

Collectively, the pair has five of the Beavers' nine home runs so far this season, and Conforto is leading the Pac-12 in RBIs, the Oregonian reported.

“I hope they just keep raising the ante," OSU coach Pat Casey told the newspaper.

The Beavers are currently 14-5, 3-0 and holding strong at first place in the Pac-12.
