The statewide list also showcases other top-performing schools and explains how U.S. News evaluates college readiness, test performance, and graduation rates across Washington.
   

• Locust Cider to close Fort Collins location (greeleytribune.com) — Locust Cider has already closed its Redmond taproom as part of a wider pullback that also shuttered locations in several other Washington cities and beyond. The company says rising taproom costs pushed it to focus on distributing cider through restaurants, bars, and stores, while one remaining taproom in Gig Harbor stays open and a Fort Collins site may become a gluten-free restaurant.
   

• Indigenous Actor Elaine Miles Reports Detention by Alleged ICE Agents (westrivereagle.com) — Redmond residents are reacting after Indigenous actor Elaine Miles says men identifying as ICE agents detained and challenged her tribal ID near a local bus stop, the same day ICE made arrests at Bear Creek Village. Concerned about possible immigration uses, the Redmond City Council has since voted to shut off its Flock license-plate cameras, even as advocates urge Indigenous people to carry multiple IDs.
