Weather Service Issues Wind Advisory through 1 p.m.

Gusts of up to 50 mph are expected through much of Western Washington Monday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Redmond and much of Western Washington saying gusts could reach 50 mph this morning.

The wind is the result of a strong storm front that's traveling from the coast into the Puget Sound lowlands this morning, according to the NWS.

The advisory states the wind will be strong enough to topple trees and cause power outages in some areas.
