Young Talent Development Foundation

YTDF, under the leadership of Mohit Soni and Ritvik Mohindru, strengthens their mission of education equality

Every child is talented in one way or another, though some talents might be more salient than others. For instance, a child might be gifted in singing and another in listening. However, a gift that is not nurtured will not blossom. Unfortunately, most children don’t have access to training resources or get a chance to showcase their skills

YTDF (Young Talent Development Foundation), a non-profit organization, is dedicated to developing youth talent and promoting creativity in the minds of children and is rapidly gaining popularity. YTDF has volunteers that reach out to various schools with underprivileged students to teach them machine learning, app development, algorithmic thinking, algorithm design, website design, chess, photography, theater, etc. to enable them to explore their areas of talent and interest. YTDF is on a mission to make education more accessible to students, no matter what background they come from.

This organization has invested its time in organizing events, surveys, training sessions, and competitions to search for youth talent. YTDF supports students with exceptional talents by providing resources (Laptops, iPads, calculators, etc.), scholarships, and private tutors.
YTDF Co-Presidents Mohit Soni (Tesla STEM High School) and Ritvik Mohindru (Redmond High School) have presented their non-profit idea to multiple corporations gaining the support of Microsoft, GoDaddy, Expedia, etc. Collaboration with these corporations gives YTDF not only the required funding, but also support in terms of volunteering and marketing.
In the past year, YTDF has made significant progress towards its goal of education equality.
In January of 2022, YTDF organized a large event where they collected 200+ old tennis rackets across multiple schools. Volunteer kids of YTDF refurbished all those tennis rackets and donated them to talented Tennis players who were lacking good equipment to demonstrate their capability in the sport.

In March of 2022, YTDF also partnered with GyanJyoti, a prominent non-profit
organization in Haryana, India, and donated a total of 21 laptops to 21 bright and deserving female students in underprivileged neighborhoods. YTDF has also provided weekly online training to these students to build their capabilities in the areas of Computer Science. In addition, the non-profit provides a quarterly scholarship to these 21 students so they can continue their education independently.

Mohit Soni, the Co-President of YTDF and a student at Tesla STEM High School in Redmond, Washington, USA, states “We're excited to join the GyanJyoti family and to work alongside their team. Both GyanJyoti and YTDF are aligned in their shared vision of helping students around the world in disadvantaged communities. Together, we will be able to expand each other's network and be able to aid as many families in need as possible. As we begin to write the next chapter in YTDF's story, we are excited to leverage this new affiliation for innovating solutions and growth in all aspects of our non-profit."

YTDF is celebrating its recent collaboration with GyanJyoti and is excited for the future. On the other side, GyanJyoti is no less enthused.

The President of the GyanJyoti Foundation, Mr. Prashant Singh, voices his elation on the collaboration with YTDF, "Partnership with YTDF has allowed this foundation to stretch its arms outside of North-Eastern India giving us the opportunity to help students across multiple states. This is a large step for the GyanJyoti Foundation, and we are enthusiastic to work with the YTDF team to amplify the impact of both organizations."

The foundation aims to develop a pool of talent in the field of education to compete in the future.
