Ridgefield school board approves new elementary school boundaries (columbian.com) — Ridgefield families will see new elementary school boundaries as the district prepares to open a third elementary campus on North 10th Street for the 2026-27 school year. The board’s changes, including a K–5 configuration and a rebranded Sunset Ridge middle model, aim to balance enrollment and leave room for future growth.
   

2. Bob's Automotive prepares for ownership change after three decades of service (thereflector.com) — A downtown Ridgefield staple, Bob’s Automotive, will change hands Jan. 1 as longtime owners Bob and Priscilla Ford retire after nearly 32 years serving local drivers. The couple insisted on a buyer who would keep the shop independent and customer-focused, choosing incoming owner Isaiah Wallace. Bob plans to help through the transition while the Fords look forward to travel and more time with the community in new ways.
   

3. Target Zero: Honoring law enforcement's battle against impaired driving at Night of 1000 Stars (clarkcountytoday.com) — Ridgefield residents can take pride in local officers Igor Fokin and Jen Leon, who were honored for their work against impaired driving at the regional Night of 1000 Stars event. Law enforcement agencies from across Clark County gathered in east Vancouver to celebrate Target Zero’s push to eliminate traffic deaths by 2030, highlighting both enforcement and education efforts that help keep Ridgefield-area roads safer.
   

4. Woodland girls basketball wins physical affair over the Spuds, 43-31 (thereflector.com) — Ridgefield High’s girls basketball team fell 43-31 to Woodland on Dec. 9 in a physical matchup highlighted by an early 14-0 Woodland run. Photos capture Ridgefield senior Savannah Chanda and her teammates battling for loose balls, scrambling on the floor, and pushing the tempo despite the loss. Local fans can see familiar faces and moments from the rivalry game.
