2 Young Girls Hit By Car In Seattle: Officials
The girls were hit at the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Henderson Street, authorities said.
SEATTLE, WA — Two girls, ages 9 and 10, were seriously injured after being hit by a car near Rainier Beach Thursday afternoon, police said.
The collision happened just after 1 p.m. at the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Henderson Street. Police said the two girls were crossing the street at the intersection when they were hit by a sedan.
The driver stopped and was interviewed by police.

The girls were taken to Harborview Medical Center, police said. The 10-year-old girl's condition is life threatening while the 9-year-old's condition is serious but not life threatening, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
