Washington General Election Night Results
Here are the latest results from the Nov.3 general election in Washington state.

WASHINGTON — In a final update at 12:38 a.m. the morning after Election Day, officials confirmed that a total 3,355,179 ballots had been counted in Washington, representing 68.63 percent of the state's registered voters. State election officials say 545,221 ballots remain to be counted, so election results will be updating in the coming days and weeks before the vote is certified, but they do paint a picture showing, generally, how the evergreen state voted in 2020.
It didn't hurt that Washington say a record-breaking turnount. Across the state, more than two-thirds of voters had already returned their ballots before election day, a record-breaking pace according to state election officials.

In Washington, the first round of election results were released just moments after the polls closed, but the resulting percentages may shift slightly through the month as election officials update totals or correct minor mistakes.
Under state law, all ballots that had been left in drop boxes or that had been mailed and postmarked before the election must be counted. In rare cases, ballots postmarked on time may take several days to reach election officials, meaning results will continue to change as the week goes on. Federal law requires states wait three weeks before certifying the election, so the final, exact results of Washington's vote will not be known until Nov. 24.
