Service was suspended because of recent snowstorms, but officials said clearer roads and milder weather mean buses can travel again.

KING COUNTY, WA — King County Metro has resumed its bus service after recent snowstorms temporarily parked the vehicles.

Weekend bus routes returned Sunday morning, and weekday bus service resumes today. Officials said "clearer roads and milder weather" mean conditions are safe enough for the buses to travel.

But riders are encouraged to check Metro's Service Advisories before traveling, as winter weather and/or construction continue to cause some disruptions. A small number of trips may be canceled, officials said, and some routes may operate with chained shuttles in places where road conditions remain difficult — like hilly or higher-altitude areas.
