Daron Morris wrote a note to supporters citing a health issue as the reason why he is suspending his campaign.

SEATTLE, WA – The race for King County Prosecutor is now a one-man race. Daron Morris announced on Friday that he was ending his campaign, citing health reasons.
"I regret to announce that I am suspending my campaign effective immediately due to medical reasons," Morris wrote in a statement to supporters. "While I expect to make a full recovery, the present circumstances prevent me from continuing my campaign."
Morris is a public defender and had been challenging Dan Sattenberg who is running for a fourth term. Get all the latest information on what's happening in your community by signing up for Patch's newsletters and breaking news alerts.

Sattenberg is a former Republican who said he left the party because he didn't want to be thought of as a supporter of President Trump.
While Sattenberg has a reputation of being a progressive prosecutor, Morris campaigned on the basis of Sattenberg hasn't done enough and that the justice system needs reform.
