Police Search For Driver In Deadly Seward Park Hit-And-Run
A 63-year-old bicyclist was killed when he was kit by a sedan on Seward Park avenue Sunday night.
SEATTLE — Police are working to track down the driver responsible for a deadly hit-and-run accident in south Seattle this weekend.
According to the Seattle Police Department, Sunday evening a bicyclist and been riding north along Seward Park Avenue South, near the entrance to the park.
As the cyclist rode towards the park, a wrong-way driver, heading south in the northbound lane, crashed head on into the bicyclist.

The driver then fled the scene.
Witnesses to the crash tried to perform CPR until medics arrived. The Seattle Fire Department then rushed the 63-year-old man to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Now, police are hoping to track down the driver who killed him. Witnesses describe the hit-and-run vehicle as an older, silver compact sedan with a shattered windshield. Officers also believe the car had a Washington State license plate with the first six characters BKU 053.
