Rainy, Gray Week To Lead Into Thanksgiving Holiday: WA Weather
The holidays are on the way, but this week is poised to rain on their parade with some classic PNW weather.

SEATTLE — It's going to be a wet week for Western Washington- so pack your umbrella or raincoat if you're traveling for the holiday weekend.
While it won't get nearly as rainy as it did a few weeks back when two atmospheric rivers doused Puget Sound and caused significant flooding in Whatcom County, it's not going to be overly dry either. Monday will start the week off mildly, with relatively light rain and breezy conditions. Forecasters expect that rain to turn into mountain snow between 3000-4000 feet, but otherwise nothing too wild.
An unsettled weather pattern means Tuesday will bring much of the same; rain should remain relatively light, but there will be pockets of moderate rain. Tuesday night the rains will taper off, leading into the sole dry morning of the week early Wednesday. Unfortunately, a new weather system will roll in midday, and rain will return Wednesday afternoon and stick around through the evening.

If you were expecting to spend some time outside with family during Thanksgiving, well: bad news, that's actually going to be the wettest day of the week so far. Forecasters say the rain should be the strongest on Thursday, with moderate to heavy rain for much of the region. As with most heavy rains, the coast and Cascades will be hit the hardest, but there will still likely be strong precipitation in the lowlands.
Friday will be a little calmer - good for everyone heading home early - but though rains will taper off a little throughout the day, the reprieve won't last long. By Saturday, yet another weather system is expected to blow in from the coast, brining even more rain to the Pacific Northwest.
