An Amber Alert was issued Monday in Seattle for missing a 8-year-old girl. Police say she was later found safe.
SEATTLE — An 8-year-old girl with autism has been found safe after an Amber Alert was issued Monday morning in Seattle, authorities said.
The girl was last seen in the city's Haller Lake neighborhood on Aurora Avenue North. The girl's mother got out of a vehicle with the suspect in the passenger seat, The National Center For Missing and Exploited Children said. The man jumped into the driver seat, the center said, locked the doors and drove off with the child still in the back seat.
About two hours after she was reported missing, Seattle police said the girl was found safe.
