Seattle One Of The Best Cities For Celebrating Christmas: Report

SEATTLE — Christmas isn't a competition, but if it was Seattle would totally decimate all other major metropolitan areas.

Okay, well it wouldn't decimate them, but it would, surprisingly, hold its own at the office Christmas party. That's because, according to a new study from WalletHub, Seattle is actually one of the county's best places to celebrate the holiday this year.

For their study ranking "2021’s Best Places for Christmas Celebrations", the company says it looked at dozens of metrics, including the number of Christmas tree farms, the number of food banks per capita, and online giving per capita, to see which city's Yule was the most tide, and which cities should board up their windows in preparation for Krampus' revenge— and Seattle actually performed very well. According to WalletHub, Seattle was found to be:

• 1st in online giving per capita
• 1st in food banks per capita
• 7th in percentage of residents who are fully vaccinated
• and 22nd in Christmas tree farms per capita

Averaging it all together, and researchers found that Seattle was actually the sixth-best place for Christmas this year. Perhaps Santa will reward us with a Space Needle flyby for our diligent work.
