South Park Marina Fire Causes $1M In Damages
According to the King County Sheriff's Office, 13 boats were damaged in the recent fire and one person was transported to a nearby hospital.

SEATTLE, WA — A recent fire at the South Park Marina in Seattle resulted in $1 million in damages, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.
Around 2:15 a.m. last Thursday, firefighters from Seattle, North Highline, Tukwila and the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority responded to a two-alarm fire at the marina.
Deputies said one person was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threating injuries.

Thirteen boats were damaged, leaving their owners ashore for the extended Labor Day weekend, deputies said.
Two sheds and a workshop were lost as well.

Detectives with the King County Sheriff's Office Fire Investigation Unit said they are working to determine the fire's cause and origin. The case remains active.
King County Fire Investigators have responded to an estimated 300 fires so far in 2021.
