Detectives are investigating after a juvenile was shot Friday night during a disturbance in the Atlantic neighborhood.

At 8:10 pm Friday night, witnesses called 911 to report a person had been shot at the intersection of South Charles Street and Hiawatha Place South. Officers arrived and found juvenile male victim with gunshot wounds to his legs. Officers immediately provided first aid until Medics transported the victim to Harbor View Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers spoke to witnesses and determined there was a disturbance in and around a white Chevy sedan parked in the intersection. At some point during this disturbance, multiple rounds were fired. In addition to the victim being shot, the car was struck multiple times, causing the rear window to shatter.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are now reviewing evidence left at the scene.
