SPD Blotter: Detectives Investigating Monday Morning Homicide In Gas Works Park

People began calling 911 around 4:30 am Monday to report the sound of gunfire somewhere in the vicinity of Gas Works Park. As officers were searching the area, another person walking through the park called 911 to report they had found an adult man dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Homicide detectives have now taken over the investigation and will work with the Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
