Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in South Seattle on Friday evening.

At 4:12 p.m., police responded to 43rd Avenue South and South Othello Street for reports of a collision. Officers arrived at the collision and found a man with gunshot wounds. Officers and Seattle Fire Department medics attempted lifesaving measures, but the 24-year-old man was declared deceased at the scene.
Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to collect evidence and process the scene.
