Woman Struck, Killed By Seattle Light Rail Train: Officials
The woman was caught between a train and the platform at Mount Baker station in Seattle, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

SEATTLE, WA — A woman was killed after she was struck and caught in between a Link Light Rail train and the platform at Mount Baker station on Sunday afternoon, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
Firefighters removed the woman from the tracks at the station located on the 3000 block of Rainier Avenue South around 1:30 p.m. She was treated by paramedics but died of her injuries, authorities said.
Authorities urge people to avoid the area as the Seattle Police Department investigates the crash.

The incident is expected to cause "systemwide delays for some time," and Link Shuttle buses are replacing the 1 Line between the Beacon Hill and Columbia City stations while Mount Baker is shut down, according to Sound Transit.
