• Shelton pedestrian hit by car on Highway 101 Friday afternoon, Washington State Patrol troopers say (chronline.com) — A 31-year-old Shelton man was seriously injured Friday when he tried to cross Highway 101 at the Shelton‑Matlock Road on-ramp and was struck by a southbound car, according to Washington State Patrol. He was airlifted to Harborview in Seattle, while the Hoodsport driver was taken to Mason General Hospital in Shelton with injuries but was not suspected of impairment.
