Lakeside Boys Down Puyallup in Lacrosse

Lakeside of north Seattle wins Boys Division I match as Keaton Santi nets four

SEATTLE – Keaton Santi scored four goals and goaltender Peter Scott turned away 14 shots on goal as Lakeside cruised to its first win of the boys high school lacrosse season with a 9 – 3 victory over Lake Tapps, Wednesday at the Lakeside School in north Seattle.

The Lions struck first, tallying three goals in the first and added a solo in the second to take a comfortable 4 – 0 lead into the half.Β  In the third, both teams traded a pair of goals to make it 6 – 2 at the end of three.Β  But in the final stanza Lakeside pulled away with three more for insurance and the win.

Despite dominant play by Puyallup’s Robert Abbott winning 13 of 17 faceoffs and scooping up 15 ground balls, the south sound squad was marred by turnovers and struggled to match a persistent Lions attack.
