LFP Police Blotter: Rash of Graffiti Vandalism Hits LFP on August 2

The following blotter items and information from July 31, 2012 through Aug. 4, 2012 were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction. Please note missing dates means nothing to report.

July 30

THEFT: A guy in the 3600 block of N.E. 155th St. reported that someone took his debit card and used it without his permission while he was asleep during a party. A charge was made for $26.15 at Sheridan Market and the card was placed back in his pocket. He did not know who took his debit card.

ACCIDENT: A female driver in a white Toyota Corolla in the 16200 block of 41st Ave. N.E. hit a a tree while backing out of a driveway. The person stated that she didn't feel well but did not want aid. The tree belongs to the city and police notified public works to replace it. The driver was issued a notice of infraction for improper backing.

August 1

GAS PUMP INCIDENT: A woman in silver Volvo was getting gas at the Arco station in the 16800 block of Bothell Way N.E. when she drove off with the gas pump still in her vehicle at pump 7 and it ripped out. The driver discarded the hose in the Β bushes at first but came back and said she was sorry and that she didn't know the pump was still in her car. Police advised that this was not a crime and gave the Arco employees the driver's name if they needed to contact her about paying for the damage.Β

DOG BITE: A man in the 17000 block of Ballinger Way N.E. requested aid after suffering a minor dog bite.Β 

August 2

VANDALISM: About 10-15 incidents of vandalism took place overnight and was discovered on Aug. 2. including the following:Β 

β€’Someone spray painted graffiti on a 2010 Mini Cooper and blue four door sedan in the 19200 block of Forest Park Drive N.E. Damage was estimated at $200.

β€’Someone spray painted graffiti on gray Honda Odyssey in the 18900 block of 32nd Ave. N.E.

β€’Someone tagged a garage door in the 18500 block of 37th Ave. N.E. with graffiti.

CAB INCIDENT: A Yellow Cab driver reported that a customer assaulted him in the 18100 block of 33rd Ave. N.E. by hitting him in the head and shoulder. The customer claimed that the driver attempted to steal $17 from him by failing to give change for the cab ride. The customer grabbed the cabbie's shirt pocket to prevent him from leaving and the cabbie pulled away tearing the shirt pocket. The cabbie returned the $17 and said he was uninjured. The cab driver did not say how he wanted the situation resolved and started yelling at the officer. The customer provided the cab driver with contact information in case he wanted to sue him over the shirt.Β 

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Someone egged a house in the 19200 block of Forest Park Drive N.E. and spray painted a woman's license plate.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Someone in the 3300 block of N.E. 182nd St. reported a gun shot around the corner at 33rd Ave. N.E. Police found a burning garbage can in the street and its possible an aerosol can exploded. A fire extinguisher would not put out the fire. Northshore Fire arrived and took care of it.

August 3

COYOTES: A woman in the 16900 block of 28th Ave. N.E. called police to report that there were two coyotes in her yard that wouldn't leave. While she was out mowing her lawn they came close to her.Β 

August 4

PARTY: Someone called police about a large party in the 3300 block of N.E. 163rd St. About 30 people were there, mostly outside. Police advised everyone to "wrap it up" and go inside and stood outside until it quieted down.

INTOXICATION: A man was holding a bottle of whiskey in the 14900 block of Bothell Way N.E. and could hardly stand up he drank a fifth of whiskey. Aid was called and the man was transported to Northwest Hospital.Β 

TRESPASS AT DEJA VU: An older man, who is Mexican national, had been was following a dancer at DΓ©ja Vu, 14500 block of Bothell Way N.E. He had previously been asked to stay away from the business but hangs out in the area.Β
