Man Stabs Self to Death After Suspected Shoreline Car Prowl
A man pulled a knife after a delivery driver confronted him for going through his work vehicle and stabbed himself to death on Stone Ave. N., witnesses told the Shoreline Police Department.

A man killed himself with a knifeΒ Tuesday morningΒ after beingΒ confronted by a delivery driver who thought the manΒ was prowling his work vehicle, witnesses toldΒ the Shoreline Police Department.
According to the police department, the delivery driver was stopped at a business nearΒ N. 175th StreetΒ and Aurora Ave. N.Β around 9:20Β a.m. Tuesday when heΒ spotted the man looking throughΒ his work truck.
The driver confronted the man, later identified as a 38-year-old Seattle resident,Β who pulled a knife and walked away several blocks toΒ N. 180th Street and Stone Ave. N., according to the Shoreline Police Department.
The driverΒ called 9-1-1 while following the man from a distance, and dispatchers advised the driver toΒ stay put and wait for police, according to police.
But according to witnesses, the man started to stab himself several times until heΒ collapsed atΒ N. 182nd Street and Stone Ave. N.,Β where Shoreline Police officers found him, the police department reported. Police and then the Shoreline Fire DepartmentΒ attempted CPR, but attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful, police said.
The King County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit responded and is investigating the incident, according to the Shoreline Police Department.Β
"The investigation is ongoing, detectives are checking into the background of the Seattle resident to help determine what may have contributed to his actions," according to the Shoreline Police Department on its website.
