• EPA awards $58m for waste, recycling infrastructure (resource-recycling.com) — Shoreline is set to receive $4.5 million in federal EPA funding to build a new Shoreline Reuse Center where residents can donate, repair, and repurpose household goods, tools, and bikes. The grant is part of a $58 million national package for recycling and reuse infrastructure, positioning Shoreline as a regional hub for waste reduction and community repair services.
   

• Betsy Robertson elected Shoreline mayor, new councilmember Valerie Snider and reelected members sworn in (shorelineareanews.com) — Shoreline’s city council has chosen longtime councilmember Betsy Robertson as the new mayor and Ebon Pobee as deputy mayor, with both selected by their fellow councilmembers. Newly elected councilmember Valerie Snider and three reelected members were also sworn in, marking a fresh start for the council under Shoreline’s council-manager form of government.
   

• Grant Co. legislators pre-file legislation (thenewstribune.com) — Shoreline residents are represented in a new wildfire aviation funding bill co-sponsored by Rep. Cindy Ryu, alongside Grant County lawmakers preparing several measures for the 2026 session. The package includes proposals on wildfire insurance transparency, sustainable jet fuel tax credits, stricter rules for unsecured vehicle loads, and a new statewide workforce education oversight board, all of which could indirectly affect Shoreline.
