• Highway 2 will reopen soon with single-lane traffic at stretch gouged by river (thenewstribune.com) — State leaders met in Shoreline to announce that Highway 2 will partially reopen next week with single-lane, pilot-car traffic between Coal’s Corner and Stevens Pass after severe flood damage. Drivers are urged to expect delays, prepare for winter weather that could trigger new closures, and continue favoring I-90 or US 12 for most east-west trips until full repairs are finished next spring or summer.
