Shoreline Council Preview: Funding Options for Sidewalks to be Discussed

Council also expected to vote to have meetings on Mondays only in 2013

The 2012 Citizen Survey showed that most Shoreline residents are satisfied with how the city government is performing, but the lack of sidewalks in Shoreline was mentioned as an area that needs improvement.

In response, at tonight's Shoreline City Council meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall, the Council will launch into aΒ discussion of Local Improvement Districts for sidewalks.

The Council will also discuss and likely decide whether or not to particpate in a pilot program involvingΒ quick charging stations for electric vehicles.

The Council is also expected toΒ adopt Resolution No. 334 Amending the Council Rules of Procedure, to hold all meetings in 2013 on Mondays, including all fifth Mondays of a month. If a holiday falls on a Monday, the meeting will be canceled instead of postponing it to Tuesday as has been done in the past.Β
