Shoreline Police Blotter: Juvenile Steals Tequila From North City Safeway

The following blotter items range from June 29, 2012 – July 3, 2012. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

June 29

DUI ACCIDENT: A drunk driver with a blood alcohol content of .156 collided into two parked vehicles in the 20000 block of Whitman Ave. N.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE BUY: A controlled buy of heroin was made by an officer at N.W. 190th St. and 3rd Ave. N.W.

MENTAL COMPLAINTS: A man in the 2400 block of N.E. 180th St. reported that his wife suffers from an eating disorder. She refused to eat, lost lots of weight and is not taking fluids and suffers from low blood pressure and heart rate. She was involuntarily taken to Northwest Hospital after refusing treatment.

July 2

AUTO THEFT: Somone stole a car from a driveway in front of a home in the 16200 block of N.E. 162nd St.Β 

VEHICLE PROWL: Someone broke into a vehicle in the 1000 block of N. 200th St. and stole several items. The suspect possibly used a slim jim to gain entry.

VANDALISM: Someone used an M80 to blow up a mailbox in the 300 block of N.E. 152nd St.

BURGLARY: Someone forced their way into a home in the 15500 block of 8th Ave. N.E. through a dog door at the rear of a residence and took items. An alarm was triggered.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Someone cut the chain link fence at Public Storage, 14900 Aurora Ave. N., and entered the property and broke into customer units.

VANDALISM: Someone vandalized a mailbox in the 2500 block of N.W. 195th St. by placing a firework inside.

STATUTORY RAPE: A 23-year-old man was accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl in the 17000 block of 5th Ave. N.E. which is considered statutory rape.

BOMBING: Someone placed a large firework in a mailbox in the 18000 block of 2nd Ave. N.E. and blew it up.

BURGLARY: Someone broke into a home in the 500 block of N.E. 155th St. through a bathroom window and stole electronics. The dog was also missing.

LIQUOR STOLEN: A juvenile took tequila from Safeway, 17202 15th Ave. N.E., and got caught and his juvenile friend ran off.Β 

VEHICLE PROWL: Someone stole a stereo and wallet from a victim's Honda Civic in the Costco parking lot.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Someone used a tool and tried to pry open a front door and damaged the lock of a home in the 18600 block of 16th Ave. N.E.

BURGLARY: Someone forced their way through a rear window of a home in the 1500 block of N.E. 172nd St. and stole jewelry.

July 3

VEHICLE PROWL: An interrupted prowl of a truck in the 16500 block of 25th Ave. N.E. led to the arrest of one person and one suspect got away.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: A domestic violence assault with strangulation was reported in the 20300 block of 14th Ave. N.E.

AUTO THEFT: A woman's son stole her car from the 20000 block of 24th Ave. N.E. The mother made the report over the phone from Texas since he took it without permission.

OFFICER ASSAULTED: A suspect assaulted an officer by elbowing and punching in the 100 block of N. 203rd St.Β 

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE BUY: An officer made a controlled buy of narcotics at N.E. 145th St. and I-5.

RECKLESS DRIVING: Someone was caught going 70 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone in the 15000 block of 25th Ave. N.E.

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: Someone made a suicide attempt by taking a "handful" of prescription medication in the 2300 block of N. 187th St.
