Shoreline Police Blotter: Someone Steals .45 Caliber Handgun and Ammo Clip From Unlocked Garage

The following blotter items from March 18-March 25 and information on arrests were supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

March 18

BURGLARY: Someone entered an unlocked garage in the 700 block of N. 148th St. and stole a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun and one ammunition clip from inside. The suspect(s) likely jumped over a chain-link fence, to gain access.

BURGLARY: Someone entered what was a possibly unlocked garage in the 14800 block of Fremont Ave. N. and stole numerous high-value tools.

BURGLARY: A son reported that someone entered his mother’s house in 14500 block of Interlake Ave. N. and took televisions while she was out of town on a business trip working in Oregon for FEMA.

INDECENT LIBERTIES: A developmentally delayed person inappropriately touched another developmentally delayed person in the 18200 block of Linden Ave. N.

March 19Β 

ASSAULT: A server at Denny’s at 904 N. 155th St. came into the kitchen very angry and upset Sunday morning and threatened a cookΒ  with a knife for cooking food poorly.Β 

BACKPACK STOLEN AT YMCA: A guy got distracted while working out at the Dale Turner YMCA and wasn’t paying attention to his backpack and someone took it with his iPad inside.Β 

VANDALISM: Suspects vandalized the Shorecrest baseball field by pulling the tarps off the mounds, taking screens and scattering them in the outfield and pouring garbage onto home plate and other minor vandalism.

STOLEN LAPTOP: Someone in the Newhaven Apartments, 19700 block of 15th Ave. N.E., who was helping a homeless man later found out that the homeless man left with the person’s laptop.

March 20

OFFER DECLINED AND REPORTED: Someone offered a woman money for a sexual act at 24-Hour Fitness, 20202 Ballinger Way N.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: A woman was stopped in the 200 block of N.E. 155th St. for speeding and was arrested. Her 3-year-old daughter was turned over to a relative at the scene.Β 

March 21

DUI: Someone was stopped for going 48 mph in a 35 mph zone on 175th St. near Meridian Ave. N. and was arrested for driving under the influence.

BURGLARY: Someone opened a padlock at the Public Storage at 20065 15th Ave. N.E.Β  and stole items from a storage unit for the second time.

March 22

BURGLARY: Someone gained entry to a Stilletti Organic Coffee Co. at 20409 Aurora Ave. N. using a key and stole money.

BURGLARY: Suspects entered the Aurora Rents Construction site at 17460 Aurora Ave. N. and stole items.

BURGLARY: Someone cut the lock off a storage unit and removed two safes at the Public Storage at 20065 15th Ave. N.E.

iPHONE STOLEN: Someone stole an iPhone from the basketball gym at the Dale Turner YMCA.

March 23

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: A patron at the North City Tavern, 17554 15th Ave. N.E., became angry with another patron and attacked the person outside.

BURGLARY: Someone used a rock to break a window and enter a house in the 17800 block of Fremont Ave. N.

SHOPLIFT: Two black guys reportedly shoplifted $466.91 worth of clothing and fled in a white Dodge Caravan.

NARC REPORT?: A person who wished to remain anonymous called police to report noticing a high school aged black person and Filipino person walking between Meridian and Wallingford and meeting with passing cars after school.

March 24

METH POSSESSION: Known thieves, according to police, were found loitering around the Public Storage near 14900 Aurora Ave. N.Β  and arrested for meth possession.

GAS SIPHONED: Someone punched a gas tank right behind a passenger door on a vehicle and took about five gallons of gas in the 15500 block of 26th Ave. N.E.

March 25

HIT AND RUN: A drunk driver was arrested and booked for hitting an unoccupied car in the 18800 block of Midvale Ave. N.
