Shorewood Class of 2012: Mushu Has Arrived

Shorewood graduates 340 seniors on Sunday night

Shorewood’s 340 graduates in the Class of 2012 walked across the stage at Comcast Arena Sunday night and accepted their diplomas amid applause, rousing speeches and musical performances.

After the seniors filed in to the Shorewood band playing pomp and circumstance, Shorewood Principal Bill Dunbar started the evening detailing the school’s long list of accomplishments in academics, athletics and activities.

He spoke about the class naming itself after Mushu, the dragon character in Mulan who provides comic relief. Like Mushu, the Class of 2012 is β€œcomical and impulsive, however in the end, the class has proven that they have heart despite their youthful antics.”
