Sustainable Works Energy Efficiency Audits Continue in Shoreline

Save energy, reduce your bill

Shoreline residents still have an opportunity to take advantage of reduced cost energy audits and low financing retrofits from SustainableWorks, a Puget Sound non-profit. SustainableWorks has partnered with Washington State University Energy Management, Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy and others to bring this energy saving opportunity to the city.

The purpose of this federal stimulus-funded program is to help home-owners and renters (with landlord approval) make home improvements that reduce their energy use and energy bills. Participants will be able to save on items like furnaces, air sealing, insulation and hot water heaters, reducing energy costs by 20 to 40 percent.

SustainableWorks strives to design projects that pay for themselves with energy savings over time. SustainableWorks also has a loan program with Puget Sound Cooperative Credit Union to help homeowners finance improvements at low interest rates.
