Volunteer Party to Restore Richmond Beach Saturday

Volunteers can join a party to continue the restoration efforts on Richmond Beach on Saturday.

Restoration efforts on Richmond Beach continue Saturday with a work party, and the University of Washington Ecological Restoration Students and the City of Shoreline is recruiting volunteers.

The volunteer event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, 2021 NW 190th St., Shoreline.

This project will replace native plants that naturally occur on sandy near shore environments. Volunteers should bring their own snacks for the mid-day break and come dressed for the weather (partly sunny, with a high of 46, according to the National Weather Service).
