Win a Gay Wedding Courtesy of Embassy Suites Seattle-Bellevue
The hotel will give away a gay wedding in honor of the state's legalization of same-sex marriage, in a contest running through July 31.
Embassy Suites Seattle-Bellevue will give away a gay wedding in honor of Washington state's legalization of same-sex marriage last year. The contest runs through July 31.
In a Facebook contest open through the end of the month, the hotel is asking couples to share their love story, a few photos on Facebook, and a statement on why the couple wants to win this wedding.
The wedding package includes a ceremony for up to 100 guests, flowers, music, wedding cake, hors d’oeuvres and champagne, luxury limousine and a two-night stay in one of the hotel's suites, according to a press release from the hotel. The hotel is working with gay-friendly vendors, including officiant Rev. Ray Van Winkle, invitations from Seal It With Love, a cake from Honey Crumb Cake Studio, flowers from Countryside Floral and Garden, and photography from Jenny GG Photography, according to the Embassy Suites Bellevue's Facebook page.

In contrast to the news of an Eastern Washington florist who ran into legal hot water for refusing to serve a gay couple, the Embassy Suites Seattle-Bellevue is touting its support for gay marriages on its wedding page, which says the hotel will help couples find other gay-friendly wedding vendors:
"Since the legalization of gay marriage in Washington State, we have strived to offer exceptional wedding services to the LGBT community. We work with dozens of local vendors who support the gay community and are happy to help you on your special day."
The hotel is located in Bellevue's Eastgate neighborhood, 3225 158th Ave. S.E.
