From the fun to the informative, January’s library programs include trivia and workshops for adults, a resiliency workshop for businesses, an all-ages, all-abilities call for artists, and engaging programs for kids and families. Trivia: Brooklyn Nine-Nine Ride along as we look back at eight seasons of shenanigans. Trivia will cover some fun facts about New York’s wackiest precinct, like the difference between Doug Judy and The Vulture, who won every Halloween Heist, what became of Adrian Pimento, and the greatest nemeses of our favorite characters. Thursday, Jan 13, 6:30–7:30pm | REGISTER Picture Book Chat Discover new picture books that children will enjoy with librarians Mary Ellen and Sheri, as they chat about recently released titles in our collection. Hear and see what they like about these wonderful books for toddlers, preschoolers, and emergent readers. They also share some book-inspired activities you can try with the children in your life! This class is for anyone new to Medicare and those wanting a refresher. We cover Parts A, B, C, and D and go over your Medicare benefits and options, including a comparison of Medicare Advantage plans and Medigaps. Adults This free, unbiased information session is presented by Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington (ALTCEW) and the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA), a free service of the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. We share our favorite new books to read with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our favorites are not only fun but also help develop early literacy, language, and STEM skills. Let your creativity shine and submit a 3×3-inch piece of art for display at your local library. We will have supply kits of paints and a mini canvas for registered participants. Note: Mini Art Show submissions will be photographed and included in the Virtual Art Show that will be online at the same time.
