The Council meeting and public hearing will be shown LIVE on King County TV on Comcast and Broadstripe Cable Channel 22, and online at: www.kingcounty.gov/KCTV.
The King County Comprehensive Plan guides growth and development in the unincorporated areas of the county and sets policy on such major issues as annexations, transportation, and the environment. Every four years, the KCCP is reviewed and major updates occur. The last major review was in 2008, so the KCCP is scheduled for a major update this year.
To review the proposed changes to the Comprehensive Plan that are expected to be acted on by the Council, go to: www.kingcounty.gov/council/issues/comprehensive_plan.aspx
The hearing will be the public’s opportunity to comment on the proposal before the Council takes final action on the legislation in December. The council will not take action today.
Residents can submit written testimony online by visiting the King County Council website at www.kingcounty.gov/council and following the link to the “Comprehensive Plan.”
