A microchip is a permanent form of ID that can never be separated from your pet, and your petโs best chance of being returned home safely should he or she ever become lost. It is smaller than a grain of rice and is injected under the animalโs skin between the shoulder blades. Each chip has a unique number and is registered in a national database with the ownerโs name, address and contact information. Homeward Pet will include free registration of each microchip during this two-day event.
