Woodinville Value Village Opens Thursday

Value Village, a thrift chain with more than 300 locations across North America, is celebrating the opening of its Woodinville store starting with an 8:45 a.m. kick off ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, May 2. The festivities continue through Saturday, May 4 and include the chance for attendees to win one of five $100 Value Village gift certificates.  

The Woodinville Value Village and Community Donation Center, located at 14160 NE Woodinville Duvall Road in the space of the former QFC, will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Value Village has partnered with local nonprofits since 1954 and the Woodinville store’s partnership with Northwest Center means Value Village pays the organization for every donated item, whether it makes it to the sales floor or not.

When members of the Woodinville community donate, they give their goods a second life and turn their otherwise unused goods into sustainable revenue for Northwest Center. 

While Value Village works with Northwest Center to employ people with disabilities in stores, the revenue stream helps the organization serve more than 1,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in the Pacific Northwest and provide inclusive childhood education, early intervention, and employment services.

The stores carry more than 100,000 unique items on the sales floor at any time – including clothing and accessories for men, women and children and household goods – and stocks up to 10,000 gently used items every day.
