Northshore School Board to Vote on Teacher Contract
The board will also vote on next year's calendar and will take public comments on the plan to revise director district boundaries.

The Northshore School District board meets Tuesday night to vote on the tentative agreement for a new two-year contract with the Northshore Education Association. The teachers’ union approved the agreement earlier this month. (Click here to read that story). Despite state budget cuts, the contract keeps the same number of teachers without pay cuts.
The union also approved the 2011-2012 calendar, which has classes starting Aug. 31 and ending June 18, 2012. (You can find the calendar here.) The board also will vote on that calendar Tuesday night.
Also on the agenda is a public hearing on the proposed school board director districts. The boundaries must be redrawn to even out the populations in them based on 2010 census information. (A link to maps of the current and proposed district boundaries is here.)
